The Newest Foal

A bit of a mixture of the day, part work, part retail therapy (I didn't buy anything) and a visit to the stables to do some chores.

This new filly foal was with her mare in a nearby paddock.  Luckily I could get close to them and while the foal was wary of me, she felt confident enough to come nearer when her mom came up to me for a fuss.  Her markings are interesting with a lighter coloured tail and mane, similar in colour to her forehead.  I imagine it might be baby hair which will darken in time.
