Dietes Bicolour

Today has been one of rain, wind and cloud, yet again. We had planned to go out delivering leaflets, but the weather wasn’t conducive - not only would we have got drenched, but so would the leaflets. So, we stayed home.

I went to my usual Pilates class and hubby picked me up afterwards so we could visit my daughter before putting up the weekend’s open home signs. We had a quiet evening at home and an early night.

I really like the Dietes Bicolour flower so hubby very kindly planted one and today it produced its first flower - hurrah!  Unfortunately, the wind and rain today has taken its toll and the flower isn’t as perfect as it should be.

There are 2,318 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 2,855 compared to 3,876 last Thursday. The number of people in hospital is 357, including 7 in ICU. The seven-day rolling average increase in total deaths attributable to Covid-19 is 7 and 1,865 deaths have been confirmed as either directly attributed to Covid, or with Covid as a contributing factor, which remains unchanged since yesterday.
