The love of Ferns, Part 2.

This is very different from the Hard Shield Fern which I blipped a few days ago.

This one is Limestone Oak Fern. ( Gymnocarpium robertianum ). Smaller and more delicate and unrolling from quite a small ball. As its name implies it can be found on Limestone and can thus be found on Arnside Knott. There are seven areas locally where it is known to grow.
