Amazing Accrington

I met my Mum, sister and the kids in town this morning.

There was an event on today, part of the ‘Amazing Accrington’ summer schedule and so the town centre was absolutely rammed.

We’d agreed to meet up to watch the Soapbox challenge but gave this up as a bad job as we couldn’t get anywhere near the road to be able to see the action.

Mr A and I went to the first soapbox challenge a few years ago, when the course was up at the local college. IMHO that was far better as the ‘track’ was longer, steeper and the spectators were on the grass banking which is inclined, so everyone got a decent view.

We had a bit of a wander round the shops, before treating Theo and Theia to ice cream.
They are like chalk and cheese; Theo wanted plain vanilla, Theia wanted the works. What astounded me the most was how she fit the whole flake sideways in her mouth :-0
