CRIKEY!!

We were driving out of Kalbarri early this morning when we decided to head up to the Lookout at the mouth of the Murchison River.  We could see the waves crashing their way over the reef and it looked pretty wild.  Just as we pulled up we could see this small fishing vessel making its way to the entrance, we couldn’t believe our eyes.  How on earth would this boat make it through the turmoil.  Mauzee has a video of the whole performance and it was nothing short of a miracle in our eyes that the boat survived.  I raced to get the RX10 so I could zoom in and was absolutely thrilled when I saw some of the shots.  There was only going to be one blip for me tonight!!
We are camped tonight at Dongara.  We will make our way steadily down the coast tomorrow and hopefully make it to Perth for sunset.  What an adventure the past couple of weeks have been.  We had no idea what we were in for really when we set out to head north, it’s been spectacular.
I’m adding an extra tonight of the Coleseam Conservation Park near Mingenew.  It’s a shot from “Nancy” and yes she was pretty pleased with her performance late this afternoon.  The wildflowers are not quite at their peak there just yet, but we’re still pleased we made the effort to go there.
