Hot summer ending

Back blip 5 of the week.
Hot, sunny times on the beach, and in the garden. The grandchildren have loved this week, free to rush around outside, explore rock pools, splash in the calm, shallow waters of the bay.
Normally the rough grass in the garden, around the house, is lush and green. It's mown periodically, and  the boundary is marked by deep hedges of dog rose, fuchsia and blackberries. There's bracken in abundance.
This year's heat has left no permanent damage, but the traces of the unusual temperatures are everywhere.
