Home again!

We arrived back at Heathrow this afternoon after a 9 hour flight. We all managed to get some sleep, but of course not as well as usual. With an overnight flight I prefer not to eat supper on the plane but to get to sleep as soon as possible after take off, as you are usually woken up at some ridiculous hour for breakfast. Jet lag is horrible and we all feel exhausted after a bad night's sleep and our bodies not knowing what time of day it is.

Xena was so pleased to see us when we got home, she was a bit overwhelmed to see most of the family as Adam & Pip and Tommy & Inca came home with us. Tommy quickly did a load of his washing and then after eating pizzas that we ordered for breakfast/lunch/supper - not sure what meal it was, as it would be brunch in Vancouver but early supper here in the UK - they left to go back to Cambridge. It feels sad that it is the end of the holiday but doubly sad that they boys have now gone again, we do so enjoy their company.

An emergency shot of Xena as I had not time for photos today. I have a few loads of washing to do, some groceries were delivered this evening, and we are slowly getting sorted. Its always busy when you get back from a holiday. I cannot believe how much shorter the days are already, I can notice the difference in the quality of the light. Tonight our camera club new season kicked off but there was no way I could make that first meeting.
