Hot Lips

Today's the day .................... for an update

Just to let you know that all my Salvia x jamensis  ‘Hot Lips’ are doing very well this year.

Perennial sages, which is what they are, are worth their weight in gold in ornamental borders, thanks to their long-lasting displays of spiky, nectar-rich flowers. They are perfect for planting near a bench or path, where you can enjoy their fragrant foliage. The flowers are extremely attractive to bees and other pollinators. 

Sometimes in very hot weather, the flowers may be fully red or white - but they were fine with the summer we had here.  And whoever thought of calling it 'Hot Lips' was spot on ...................!
