Creating The Airship Presentation.

It is only two days till I make my presentation to an ‘eager anticipating membership’ according to the current Probus President who styles himself SandyLeBeau.

Over the past few months I have read various biographies and studied several factual books. Wikipedia has also been consulted.

It is several months since I last lectured to a group. No pressure then!

However, by the end of the day, a Keynote Presentation has been put together and the shape of the script has been decided.

Virtually ever page features a painting, or a drawing. There are also some photos of the period.

The Thumbnail is of Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin who was the most successful builder and operator of airships operating globally and who never crashed a craft or lost any passengers until Thursday 6th May 1937.

That day effectively ended the Giant Airships. On that day the Hindenburg was destroyed by adverse conditions whilst attempting to land at Lakehurst.
