The red crosse knight by Phoebe Anna Traquair

From next month, Mr hazelh and I plan to entertain ourselves on Thursday afternoons by going out for lunch, then visiting an exhibition or seeing a film (or similar). Today we practised this new proposed routine.

Since we had several vouchers for PizzaExpress, the restaurant on North Bridge became our lunch venue. Afterwards we visited the anatomy exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland. Here I noticed that one of the exhibits is incorrectly labelled. It seems that nobody else has pointed this out, even though the exhibition has been running for over two months.

I had planned to grab a blip in the exhibition, but photography was not allowed. Instead, after tea and cakes in the balcony café, we wandered over to the permanent display of Phoebe Anna Traquair's work. Here I photographed the tapestry of The red crosse knight. I love this image so much that I have also made it the background picture for my phone.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; walking (10,488 steps).
