tempus fugit

Slurp

As we walked along the coast, the dog and I, we came upon a fence post surrounded by tufts of grey fur and the post itself adorned with fresh entrails, remnants of recent meal. Ravens often use these posts for  snack stops, and so do buzzards.
Raki reached up and slurped a dangling strand of rabbit gut. She hates waste. (Extra)

When I got home and heard The News I wondered if I should use these images, in the circs. But then I thought, Her Madge was very fond of dogs and, with the rest of her family, ever keen on killing wild life in many shapes and forms. In fact, much of that wild life was reared or protected for the purpose of being killed by the Royals, a luxury that most wild predators don't possess.
