Taste and Smile

It wasn't a miserable day today.  Yes, it rained a lot, and when we visited Sherborne it rained even more.  There are many shops no longer operating, it seemed and there weren't many people on the street.

But we enjoyed a sandwich in a deli;  Mrs B enjoyed another drive out in her new car, building her confidence again; and I managed for the first time to use a public chargepoint – 14.5kWh cost £5.40, which equates to about 12p a mile, about half the cost of diesel, and we got home safely along the narrow lanes without a mirror ding or a scratch from the hedges.

Finally, it seems that the death of HM Queen has generated some sort of fellow-feeling in the House of Commons and the speeches that I heard were quite reasonable.  Even Johnson's.
