Showtime!

Caught the midday bus into town and met up with lots of other community choir members as we were all heading to M&S to buy food for tea to eat after our rehearsal before our big concert tonight.  This is the only photo taken today as we sat in the auditorium awaiting a tech rehearsal. We sang a few songs and practiced entering and leaving the stage - some marshals seemingly better at manoeuvring their charges than others! 4 of us went across town for a coffee just to get out of the building for a while and to get some air.  Then back for the performance.  The singing lifted completely once there was an audience, and what an audience they were - brilliant!  The news also came through that we had sold 1004 tickets so breaking the target set. Couldn't see much as I was at the back of the flat part of the stage but could could just see our MD so all was fine. Singer/songwriter Alistair Griffin did a set and then we joined him for 2 more songs. a real feel good evening - how do we top that?! Got a lift home with my family.  After dropping us off they narrowly avoided being involved in a car smash on a corner near the garden centre - phew! Have now also backblipped for Wednesday so nearly caught up!
