Show day

Church this morning, and an interesting sermon about food - matzo crackers, breadsticks, lemon juice, golden syrup and grapes to illustrate a point! Interesting discussions about homeless people over coffee afterwards.  This afternoon was the village Horticultural Society Show - the 60th year.  Some interesting exhibits - many from the village primary school - good to see - they are the future! Strangely (?!) we ended up in the local pub, and about an hour later the heavens opened, so we had to stay there until the weather improved!  Funniest part of the afternoon was that the owner's car sunroof had been left open, so a few people rushed out with umbrellas to avoid a "soggy bottom" situation, lol!  Just got home at 8pm after going out at 2pm - why do I do this, haha?!
