A window to the past

... this ghostly image on a British ten pound note. It's hard to imagine modern coins and notes without Queen Elizabeth's portrait on them, though I do remember pennies from my childhood featuring the heads of her father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and Queen Victoria - with and without her bun. The latter were worn very smooth with much use across the years. Somewhere I have a little drawstring bag which houses my childhood coin collection. Perhaps it will come to light as I continue to unpack boxes once we return home.

Yikes! Just thought - have I broken the law photographing a banknote?!
