The second half of life..

Standing Strong

A lovely, easy-going morning then a ride with J including a stop for lunch in town.  The breeze was cool at times but, as is almost always the case, keeping moving keeps you warm.  Sitting outside in the sunshine but out of any breeze was a lovely reminder of the fine weather we can look forward to.

Energised by the ride I mowed the lawns when I got home - a mowed lawn always seems to create equilibrium somehow.

On a very sad note, the 5th victim in the tragic boating accident in Kaikoura a few days ago was named late this afternoon.  My heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this tragedy but in particular to the families and friends of the 5 victims, to the 6 survivors who have lost dear friends and to other members of the Nature Photographic Society of NZ who will be feeling immense pain and sorrow with the loss of so many members.
