Above And Beyond...

Garway Hill

We set off early afternoon to do a walk from Grosmont (Monmouthshire) to Garway Hill (Herefordshire). It's one we done a couple of times, a few years ago, and always get lost. As we can see it from our house I wanted to do it and see if we could see our house. The walk should have taken about three hours, but a we got lost yet again it was about 5 hours and 9 miles.

The photograph is of Mrs BB at Garway Hill trig point and pill box with views overlooking the Welsh mountains in the distance. By this time it was 4pm and the light starting to go. We got back to the car about 6pm, and as it was parked outside The Angel Inn, Grosmont, we went in for a drink!

On the way home, via LLangarron we stopped off at a house I picked up a pile of free apples in a tub outside a couple of days ago. They were so tasty, Mrs BB wanted some more to eat and make some green tomato chutney as our tomatoes haven't gone red!
