CORSICA - DAY 5 - AJACCIO

We are staying in a lovely hotel this time…the Radisson Blu.
***We spent the morning at the pool. It was so nice to read and swim…even if the water was freezing!!!
In the afternoon we drove 25 mins into the main town of Ajaccio…the capital of Corsica .
* loved this photo…how many men dies it take to buy a parking tickets…2 French men and an English man … only for a lady to tell us it was free today!!!
*we visited Napoleons birthplace…this was also free (it’s a special public holiday) ..it was quite a large house down a small street. He lived there for 9 years but did return a few times.
*we were also able to visit the government buildings which were open to the public for today and tomorrow. We sat a listened to a concert in the main government chambers.
*we gate crashed a wedding at the cathedral and
*eventually found a lovely place for dinner.
The Rev got his moules and frites.
