A glimpse of nature still at work

A momentous and monumental day filled with pageantry, ceremony, colour, emotion, love, thankfulness and as many other adjectives as you can muster: the end of an era never to be repeated.

The precision and dedication of all the military and civilians involved could not be bettered. We do this so well and it’s all so sincere too.

Nothing else much mattered today. It was all about laying our Monarch to rest and, at the very end of the committal service, acclaiming the new king.

I do understand there are many who see the monarchy as a superfluous throwback from the past. I respect their views. Perhaps today and the days that come can bring us all and our nations closer together rather than be further riven by conflict and pain
