A Bowl of Peppers

I spent longer than I should have getting appointments for John an me to get Covid and flu shots at Costco this morning. We usually just show up but when I checked to see if they have the vaccine, I realized that we could not only make appointments but fill out the form with insurance information, answering questions about our general health at the same time. It's tedious to do this sitting on the red bench at the Costco pharmacy, shuffling  through cards and searching our phones for numbers. Alas, it turned out to be even more tedious at the computer as I had to do each of us separately, get all John's cards and information, fill everything out only to reach the 'confirm' button and have it refuse to process without doing it all over again....for each of us. I eventually got the appointments but had to drive like a madwoman to get to Pilates on time.

John  in the process of clearing out the pepper plants to make room for something else. He brought in this big bowl of peppers and a bunch of canning jars, so I think more relish in in the near future. We have also decided that, much as we like having lemons, the tree is too close to the house to be fire safe, and is too big to fit under the eaves, so it is growing forward over the path. It will have to come out and we'll have to figure out where to plant another one. We also took out all the streletzias which were getting too much sun. We still have a healthy stand of them in the back, so we're thinking of a Zen rock garden in their place.

We discovered that we can now get series seven of Shetland, so our evening plans are cut out for us....
