Rainbow

Just near where we are located in Tain, there is a beautiful row of historic houses, which apparently date from the late 18th century, although they mostly have Victorian extensions. This evening, I caught the light, plus a rainbow, just by chance.

It's been a productive day, feeling more at home and, in my case, finishing off a paper which is now ready to send off for review. That's a huge relief.

Mr A did a modicum of flat-packing, and we had a couple of trips out. In the morning, this was to the local whole food/deli shop, which is excellent, and in the afternoon to the supermarket.

With every step, this place feels less like "just" a house and more like a home. Whereas the first weekend, we were basically camping (albeit with a bed, a kitchen and a bathroom), and the second weekend was semi-camping, now it feels comfortable and well provided, with a growing number of things on the walls.

We keep making lists of things we still want to get, but now most of it can wait.
