Chillin'

Peeping over the parapet that was the top of my camera whilst I was photographing a common darter I saw this in the bushes. Very relaxed, very chilled with the sun on his back until he became aware of me obviously.

There is no way round the pond in the Forest of Dean to where he flew to and I hung around taking the odd shot of a Southern Hawker which is my first this year. A bit late for me you might be thinking and you are right.

A glorious little nuthatch jumped down the tree I was standing next to which is even more glorious in the Extra. I moved ponds ......

The next one down the road threw up a startling 2 kingfishers which were chasing each other at a distance and I waited ... and then moved on.

Woorgreens NR lake had absolutely nothing there and Cannop Ponds is now difficult unless you want to pay for the parking. Even the small lay-bys have notices for where to buy you ticket.

Moving on again I finally hit Wenchford and blow me parking meters there too.

All my favourite places that I used to pop into have now parking meters which when you only want a small time there really annoys me as it potentially could cost a fortune. I am from Yorkshire ...
