Evening clouds.

Openreach engineer came.  Line test proved satisfactory with good speed to the network termination, but lower speed to the router.  The test showed a possible issue with the extension wiring in the house. The engineer recommended disconnecting the extension wiring, which pushed the broadband speed at the router up by 10Mbps.  Don't know yet whether this will get rid of the variability in speed: time will tell.  I've just had to move the base station for the cordless phones to the master socket, but that's not an issue.

Kitchen worktop people visited to repair a faulty join in the worktop.

A couple of deliveries to the front door.

Various other tasks.
