Blackhill Viewpoint

Last day of the long weekend today.  I fancied a tasty breakfast so got on the bike and cycled to a garden centre down in the valley.  Had a very hipster brunch of sourdough toast with avocado and roasted tomatoes and followed up with a scone.  Super tasty and excellent service.

On the way home I had a bit of an explore and went up the Blackhill Viewpoint.  Not the easiest getting over stiles in cycling shoes but I made it.  It really is an incredible spot for views, it was a little hazy today but Ben Lomond was looming in the distance, some other trossachs peak was peaking behind Miekle Bin, The Pentlands were in view, Tinto was looking great.  Added to that I could see some of the Landmarks of Motherwell and Hamilton (spot the drama flats in this picture!) and fab views over the village.  This might be out spot to see in the new year.

Rest of the day was jobs - the bike is now clean, the living room now fully ready for being plastered, washing done and tea made.  Now we're off to wrinkly yoga to round off the day (called so by our neighbours and it's just stuck.)
