Sloes

It’s slightly damp. We pot up some Japanese greens and then it’s time for Kerry to head back east. I gather plums and apples. Then it’s down the track to harvest sloe berries. Mike comes up to talk about trenches and foundations.

At home, I make borscht. I’ve let the beetroot grow too big and it’s a bit fibrous. Otherwise delicious. And a baked apple for afters.
