Severn Crossing

Late morning we drove to Chepstow (South Wales, UK) to cycle over the Old Severn Bridge to the Second Severn Crossing. With the flood defence wall being constricted, the cycle path between the two has been closed and we ended up cycling lanes to Pilning before getting to Severn Beach.

We endured a shower stood under a tree, before getting to the Cafe at Severn Beach (Bristol, England) where a hot cuppa was most welcome. The views across the estuary are always lovely and my photo' shows the tide out with some rain clouds overhead, ideal for this weeks W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge with the theme of 'late summer/winter weather'.

Bu the time we got back to the car, we'd cycled 24.5 miles and enjoyed the afternoon exercise.
