New month

Oh gosh. A new month. That's nearly a year now in this role functionally, and nine months in it "officially". Another first for me today: I went in to town and joined the desk at the open day for prospective new students and their parents. It was quite interesting. Afterwards, I took Mr A for an enormous lunch at the Nanyang Malaysian in Lister Square before we went for a Stein (see extra) at Campervan. After that we came home and slumped completely and had a very early night. Between the Malaysian and the Campervan, we popped in to Lakeland on George Street and I was astonished to see how little stock they have in the shop. Others have remarked upon this phenomenon. Yet, town was busy, mostly with people dodging the quite heavy showers, and we were lucky to be able to use two buses more or less to take us from door to door (minus a process of overtaking a bus walking, between George Street and York Place, in order to catch a Number 10). At Campervan we sat indoors: blip of brewing in action. We were surprised to see a number of people sitting outdoors when we came out to go home, notwithstanding that it was quite chilly.

That was the conclusion of a very busy first half of the day, which also included a trip to the storage facility (see extra for a photo snapped from their emergency exit steps), a peloton workout, a trip to the supermarket, and the imparting of some good news.
