Not Quite A Sunrise

I got back from the shop this morning and there were some nice wispy ones, so I took 3 shots and got lucky with the bird in one of them.
When I opened the curtains a flock of sparrows flew up from the edge of the pond and into the Berberis hedge. They are remarkably well camouflaged despite being a totally different colour scheme.
The other cloud shots are overt there too.

Bags and the family are away to London for a week (they left at 04.30am) and SWMBO got a message when she got up - there was a parcel (of rum) being delivered today, could she sit in for it between 10.47 & 12.47.
At breakfast there was another message ...... the Post Office had tried to deliver it at 09.30!!
What the hell is the point in giving (very specific) times and then arrive more than an hour early?
SWMBO went round to get the card and see if the parcel had been left on the doorstep or with a neighbour. No such luck.
Trying to find out what time the sorting/delivery office closes was a nightmare. Depending on which website you went to (all 3 we tried were Post Office sites) they all gave different times ranging from 11am to 3pm. Going by the fact that our post isn't getting delivered until late afternoon these days we knew there was no point in trying to get to the delivery office.
After lunch a Post Office van stopped outside the house and one of occupants was the female postie who we have seen in Bags' street many times. SWMBO nipped out with the card that had been left - and came in with the parcel!!!.
It turns out the there is never a day goes by that the posties are not complaining to the management about the fictious delivery messages being sent out - after all, they are the ones getting it in the neck from the people.

Arrangements have been made for the car to be serviced and MOT'd next month and for a trip to my sister's for a family gathering with My Brother!!!  He is going to be over from California on business and is coming up for the day.

3 boxes made today - will be put in the 'Blip Bank' for another day.
