Long day

Alarm set for 3.45 meant I slept for a little under 2 hours as I was concerned I’d sleep in! Airport parking was a challenge to find as the signage isn’t great for the new car park we’d booked but we managed to find. Blip was taken just after 5 when we were waiting for the shuttle bus.

Dropped the bags and on the advice of my brother who arrived at the airport earlier than us, we bought Fast track passes so breezed through security in 5 minutes. Breakfast eaten we boarded early only to sit in the plane for more than an hour as there was a bag count discrepancy. Just as we were about to be disembarked to identify our luggage on the tarmac, they found the discrepancy so we took off just over an hour late.

Arrived at the hotel and checked in. Unpacked and only then decided to see why our room had the worlds smallest balcony! Room changed for an upgraded one, clothing transferred and time for a drink in the sun in the roof top bar. Won’t be doing that again as although the views were lovely, at €36 for 2 cocktails and 2 beers it was a wee bit pricey.

A bit of late lunch in Robinson Crusoes down on the esplanade then time for sangria in the Piano Bar. changed for dinner and off to the esplanade again for a steak dinner in Blackbeards.
A cocktail in Benny Hills and back to the Piano bar for a nightcap and a dance to some fabulous 70s and 80s tunes.

Wee drama to end the night (everyone is ok) but I’ll blip the reason on Tuesday.

Bed at 1am, shatters!

Backbliiped Tuesday.
