Stover

Colin came round this morning and we took off for Stover Country Park near Newton Abbot.  It's been a few years since we've been there, August 2014, but it hasn't changed.  There are lovely walks through the trees and by the lakes.  There is also a tree-top walk.  The place has many types of birds, mainly water birds, though smaller birds too in amongst the trees.

After a while there we drove the short distance to Bovey Tracey, a small town on the edge of Dartmoor.  There we had our picnic lunch and found a nice cafe for coffee.

Close by the town is the National Trust property of Parke Estate.  Again, a nice place to walk and having a cafe for an afternoon drink.

This evening we went to The Smugglers Inn in Dawlish where we had dinner, Vegetarian Carvery, very nice.
