Lincolnshire

Tigger101 is the blipper to thank for today's contribution to our crowd/blip-sourced album of photographs of locations that Lorna Lloyd mentions in her Diary of the war  (previously blipped in the the LornaL journal). Tigger101's image is of Saint Botolph's Paraochial Church of Boston, Lincolnshire, also known as the 'Boston Stump'.

We are using the Boston Stump here to represent Lincolnshire. Lorna mentions the county once in her war diary. This is on 7th September 1939 with reference to the whereabouts of her brother Theo who - just four days into the war - is already on active service. Listen to Theo's great-grand-daughter actress Bethany Ray read his sister's first mention of him in the war diary in Episode 1 of our podcast series of the Diary of the war.

You'll see from the list below that there are many more locations mentioned in Lorna's war diary that we would like to collect for this journal. If you have a photograph(s) of any of the places listed below (that you have not blipped already), please do send it(them) to h.hall@napier.ac.uk.
