Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2022 Thursday — Cody the Welder

Cody and his team were here the end of July and first week of August to build us a metal ramp. It was Phase 1 of our backyard project. At that time we decided to not galvanize the handrails, but rather to let them rust for an organic look and then coat the rails with a special chemical to stop the rusting and provide a smooth surface.

Today we wanted Cody’s advice on whether or not it was time to apply the chemical coating. We also wanted Cody to see the backyard project now and all that has been recently accomplished.

Cody and his apprentice welder, Cameron, were delighted and quite surprised at the amount of useable space that has been cleared and finished in our backyard. It was good for us to see how pleased they are with Phase 2 of this project.

Now Cody is going to put together a quote for a cover for our rustic fire pit, because the instructions are to never let rain/moisture on the lava rocks that cover the fire element.

Our daughter is here from SoCal, so we are having fun together. This evening she prepared us a wonderful spaghetti dinner.

Good night from
California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
