I Would If I Could ....

.... but I can't.

I did try to learn the rudiments of the keyboard during lockdown, but I gave up pretty quickly.

No one else appeared to be interested either.

We had a very productive trip to Chipping Norton today. We were mainly going to collect a new flushing unit for the bathroom toilet. It was installed last year and is not working properly. We have been trying since mid September to contact the plumber who installed the bathroom (let's call him George) and failed, via email, phone messages and requests for the bathroom supplier to get him to contact us. The supplier had eventually got the manufacturer to send replacement parts but we had come to the conclusion we would either have to try to fit them ourselves or pay another plumber to do it. But, lo and behold, when we got to the supplier there was George's van parked outside, and there was George inside having a coffee. There was no escape for him. I've just read your email he said (!) but then agreed to come and fit the new part a week on Saturday. Let's hope he turns up.

Just like the gardener we were expecting yesterday did, eventually. We liked him. He seemed very knowledgeable and should be able and willing to do all the jobs we discussed.

It was raining all morning but we did have a nice lunch, in the Fox again. I had a burger of the much too large to pick up variety.

In the extra another musical subject from Chippy.
