Quod oculus meus videt

A Rarity

A day at work, just had the chance to quickly check out the garden in the late afternoon.  I was surprised to come across this clematis flower hiding behind a bush.  Typically we get one flush of flowers in late spring, though I had read that in very mild climates it can flower twice a year.  Perhaps another indication of the hot summer and mild autumn we have experienced this year.
