St Ives is famous

For its badly behaved gulls which swoop down and grab people’s chips or pasties from their hands. I saw none of this. I sat in the danger zone - on one of the benches over looking the harbour - eating my veggie Cornish pasty. Instead I was mobbed by this dear little turnstone - which dashed around my feet at great speed - making it difficult to get a photo:)   I think it was after possible crumbs. Odd, when they usually eat insects and worms on the beach. Also in extra, a blip of Porthmeor beach. One of my happy places
