Biscuits

Dinner last night was somewhere Himself and I have tried to get into twice before but been thwarted by what are now more understandable, events. The first time they lost our booking, the next time, a year later, they were unexpectedly closed. Last night we were obviously in the overflow area (with a couple obviously wanting a romantic date) next to the bar, which was full of middle aged cackling women. The food, luckily, was good but it's a shame everything else was so chaotic as we'd all built it up in our heads and it was a bit disappointing. And very expensive.

No.2 needed some emergency biscuits this morning, and a few small kitchen items she'd lost or forgotten to bring up with her. We duely added to Waitrose and John Lewis profits before heading for an early roast lunch before she had football training and we headed off home.

It was lovely to see her and she's obviously enjoying her final year. As always she's burning the candle at both ends, and still has a few other issues to work through, but she'll eventually work it out. She's matured so much the last year, it's lovely to see. I'm feeling very proud.

I'm on the train now, hopefully home before 7pm.
