Sam is ok

Sam is ok enough?
Sam had surgery, again, to remove even more teeth.
He left the house happy.
Now he is wobbly and drugged but he is home. I don't think he is in pain. With previous surgeries they haven't given him enough pain medication. If Samuel is gripping his jaw tight, he is in pain.
This time I lobbied. I assured them he doesn't have cash, he doesn't have a credit card, he can't become a fentanyl addict.
He has a fentanyl patch this time.
I have to not pet him there.

The main thing is that he lived through the surgery. I don't like the idea of a 15 year old dog being sedated but he is ok, or ok enough. He'll be ok.

One of the sad stories of conscription was a young guy in Moscow. He headed a department in Moscow's city government. He had no combat experience but they mobilized him anyway and he died in three weeks. He was known. His death was known. Now Moscow government employees are handing in their notices. Everyone is going - IT, PR, regular civil servants. Public reports of the first deaths are sparking new criticism.

Conscription officers in Russia are in danger. There are attacks on them and their offices. Unrest is intensifying.

Ukraine has a new launcher for the Javelin missile. It is lighter, easier to use, and can launch Stinger missiles. Because it is smaller and lighter it is easier to carry around. A Ukrainian soldier shoulder-fired (say that five times fast) a surface-to-air missile and shot down a Russian cruise missile. Relatively inexpensive missile systems, operated by a single person, and destroy multi-million-dollar weapons like the T-90 tank, the Alligator helicopter, the Su-34 fighter bomber, and cruise missiles.

Back in May, a US official said Russia is using computer chips intended for home appliances to repair military hardware due to the impact of US sanctions.
