Treat

A view over the loch in sunshine!  Given how little we've had of that lately I'm recording the moment ;-)

I was with other sewing friends at a lunch to bid farewell to one of our group's number who is moving south.  Life being a series of plans gone aggly meant that the truly lovely lady in question had to flit south earlier than expected, so we all had fun whilst she was possibly moving furniture around in Essex!  It's sad to see her home but the reasons are very understandable.

The lunch came after a morning at the sewing group. I spent at least half my time there with a fellow golfer/sewer trying to get Scotyisg Golf's 'clever' app to work so that she could participate in next Sunday'sfun at our club. The only real result to come out of it is that we decided that we both dislike corner clogs technology that won't allow you to just get things done!!

Back this afternoon to get a couple of minimal jobs done before heading out for more sewing tonight. This was lovely and, despite my friend's anxiety, I had a lot of fun helping her decide on fabrics for her very first quilt. The internet is a wonderful thing, we decided, but nothing beats a bit of real life fabric stroking. Hopefully the choices work out OK!
