A light bulb moment

These fancy new low energy light bulbs are all very well when they work, but when they start to flicker they are irritating.  They aren't cheap either, and as this is one of two which are on view in a fitting they really have to match so if I can't replace this one, I'll have to get two new ones.

After replacing it with a temporary bulb I noticed that the sun shining on it whilst on the table made quite a striking shadow.
