Ambition

It's been an ambition of mine to own a Victorian Portrait.  And finally I have one.  Admittedly she's very yellow, and badly in need of a clean and restoration - but gosh it will be worth it.

We don't know who she is, but judging by the lace on the dress and a massive amount of gold jewelry she must have been wealthy.

Painted by Walter Tomlinson in 1870, and still in the original frame.  I suppose that portrait painters in the Victorian era were the equivalent of our top end photographers today.
