Autumn Damsel

So mild today. As we walked around the lake late this afternoon I was thinking that it was warm and sunny enough for dragons and damsels. Then I spotted a male willow emerald damselfly. It's not unusual to see these in October and into November. I've photographed it on a bare field maple twig. I like that there's a miniscule leaf on the tip of the twig. In the background is the last, gorgeously orange, autumn leaf clinging to the end of a flowering cherry branch.
