Life through the lens...

Yorkshire lavender.

Picked from the garden this morning.
After flowering in July I cut the lavender plant back for the winter. However with the hot summer and mild autumn it has now flowered a second time. Something I haven’t known before. The flowers are smaller, and the perfume isn’t as strong but still a bonus at this time of year.

A dismal wet morning changed to a very warm and sunny afternoon.
I think everyone had the same idea as we met several friends who stopped for a chat as we had a walk round the village.
Certainly enjoying this mild October weather, and saving on the heating bills!
