Mystery Egg

My boiled egg this morning
is the strangest I have seen.
It has a little stalk on top.
Its shell's a fruity green.

It's narrow just below the stalk
and wider at the base
that fits inside the egg-cup
like a nose upon a face.

I tapped it with my spoon and yet
its shell won't crack a hair.
Wait a minute! Now I see:
my egg's a tiny pear!

Dedicated to the memory of blipper admirer who started and hosted the Silly Saturday challenge. This is how tiny many of our Conference pears are, off the small tree in our new garden, but they are so sweet and juicy. We're loving them!

Remember to put your clocks back an hour tonight - or at 2.00am Sunday morning to be precise!
