Ardnamurchan

Over to the yard after a morning of reading papers to get the gennie flaked away and make a start on cleaning the hull. And make a list. Then off up town to Canonmills as DC was unveiling a painting of his boat. A fine painting too as it makes his Colvic 26 look a good ten feet longer. I may commission one. Much chat and socialising - he’s quite an arty fekker for an oil engineer, even owning a sizeable John Bellany. And he has arty friends. One of them is now the SK of course. Oooh, she says espying a daubed seascape across the room, is that a Chris Bushe? Indeed it was. Clever lassie.
On to a film - the Triangle of Sadness at the Vue by Ruben Östlund, the Swedish geezer behind Force Majeure and the Square, both of which were top, top, films. This has its moments but it could do with editing down a bit sez I. Subject matter is good though - taking aim at rich yachties. The ones that go on boats without sails, I should quickly make clear.
