i was all set - to hit upload - when a glow filled - the room and - i glanced up - to see this - grabbing my phone - jumping off the sofa - i hobbled to - open the window - to quickly snap - a couple shots - as the colors of - rich turquoise and - butterscotch rimmed with - burning red and orange - were beginning to fade - all too fast - over the mountains - what had just been - a glowing ember of - brightness across the sky - lit by abba’s heavenly hand - was now turning - into streaks of dull gray - with wisps of black - smoldering through a now - cloudless sky

i will never understand - how rapidly a sunset - can form then - dissipate right before - my very eyes - leaving almost no trace - if i didn’t have - the proof of a picture - i may not be able - to capture exactly what - my naked eye now - struggles to see - but those end of day - paintings by abba - are always a highlight - will forever lead to…
