The old tree root

It's been here as long as I can remember, once a mighty tree now a piece of woodland sculpture.

The Spring has it's glory of daffodil gold,
When primroses open and green buds unfold.
But sometimes I think as I watch the leaves fall,
That Autumns fair days are the fairest of all
Patience Strong

A bitter wind this morning whilst out with the dog, Did a bit of grocery shopping at Lidl and Tesco, I say a bit of shopping which it was but it cost a fortune, so that was the morning taken care of, and where the afternoon went I have no idea.
