St. Thomas's Cathedral, Prague

Earlier in the week when we came across this beautiful old building, my mother wanted to peak inside but it was locked. We saw a sign that they had mass in English, Spanish, and in Czech. It's a Roman Catholic cathedral that has been recently renovated and is extremely beautiful on the outside. When Nancy came, her neighbor Barbara had asked her to take a photo of St. Thomas's because that was where she went to mass when she lived in Prague. Of course, it turned out to be the same cathedral my mother wanted to go into at the beginning of the week. When we found it again, it was open to the public. The interior is extremely ornate, and as I haven't yet posted a photo of the inside of a church, I've decided to include this as one of the photos from the trip. Originally there was a monastery associated with the cathedral what was an educational center and the monks brewed beer. Now, the rector brews the beer himself and sells it for 50 cents a bottle. As luck would have it, I caught him coming out of his office when we were leaving and he offered us beer to drink in his garden. We had packed picnics for lunch, so we gladly bought beers for the group and picnicked in the cathedral's courtyard.
