Sunny Pensthorpe

I'd seen the forecast that it was going to be a lovely morning, so I took my camera and long lens off to Pensthorpe. It had been a cold night so there was lots of dew on the few flowers still around. I resisted posting a flamingo photo, instead you have a male mallard that was resting in the shade with his head in the sun. I’ve also posted a couple of collages in Extras, one of the fungi I found and the other mainly of autumn colours  / light. A great morning for photography. This afternoon I re-glued on 4 toppers to the small metal posts out front, and did some more weeding.

Covid Update
The weekly ONS infection survey of private households up to w/e 24th Oct showed UK cases decreasing in most countries. There's an estimated 1 in 35 with the virus in England (down); 1 in 35 in Scotland (steady); 1 in 40 in Wales (down), and 1 in 30 in NI (up). A British man who’s thought to have had Covid for longer than anyone else in the world and survived (411 days), has been cured using Regeneron. Another man was treated, but died after 505 days. Both were confirmed to have the original infection and had not been reinfected. Blood cancer patients have accounted for 1 in 20 of all Covid deaths since March. The Govt is still refusing funding for such people with severely compromised immune systems to use Evushield (taken every 6 months) and as used in 32 other countries. The Covid enquiry has asked to see Boris Johnson’s WhatsApp messages.
