The water lilies are still under the impression it is summer. The temperatures (though not the heavy rain) do reinforce that belief.

I spent an enjoyable morning next door inducting Y and her sister C into the addictive joy of family history. We found some interesting things: confirmed the Shetland connection and found a grandfather's RNR record from WW1. I was in my element.

Later I ventured to Straiton to return a package and buy some goodies. M&S is full of Christmas stuff, 7 weeks to go 

Now I'm with Stanley Tucci in Sardinia. I think I may go back there next year.
