Windy sunshine … or sunshiney wind

It was one of those days - cloud, sunshine, cold, hot and wind all day. At times only a short sleeve T-shirt required, other times needed a jacket on top.

We set off reasonably early this morning with the goal of delivering all of the Parnell leaflets by the end of the day.  We took a break at around 10:30 to have brunch at LaLa Café, not having had breakfast before we started.  As a bonus, a pianist arrived and played rather nice music until we left to continue our mission.

We managed to get all the leaflets delivered, pick up the weekend’s open home signs, and return home just after 5pm.  We sat down and relaxed with a cup of coffee for a short while before going over to spend some time with Mum.

After supper we studied the two travel insurance quotes and decided which one we’d probably go with, subject to a couple of questions we need answered tomorrow.  We have to pay our fares by close of business tomorrow - guess that’s rather definite.

As I walked along Heather Street after brunch I saw a fabric shop across the other side of the road with lovely “window” boxes in front and a beautiful fabric displayed in one of the windows.  Today’s blip solved!
